Last but not least, there are templates of online portfolios that have been proven to be a neccessary extra step to separate yourself from the crowd. One of the best resume strategies is the famous: "Sell it to me, don't tell it to me" strategy. Online resume with online portfolio to back it up should be your selling card.`

Station Manager

n In spite of the massive budgetary cutbacks in Texas, FM-102.8; Permian Basin Public Radio was self-sustaining including professional salaries for the second year in a row.

n I am responsible for Fundraising, Grant Writing, Budgeting, Membership, Day-to-Day Accounting, Traffic and all aspects of station operations.

n FM maintained previous years’ income levels despite the loss of two half time, shared employees due to the divestiture of KOCV-TV from Dallas College.

n Implemented a LAN .WAV file server based audio delivery system using the 10/100 Ethernet connections available and file-sharing capabilities of XP Professional®, SpotMax®, and SoundForge® 7.0.

n More than doubled “On-Air” fundraising revenue in five years, from $53K – $120K.

n Increased membership base from 400+ to nearly 800 yearly contributors.

n I have appeared as on-camera “Talent” for KOCV-TV during fundraisers.

n I supervise a full-time, part-time, and volunteer staff of 17; produce daily classical music program, and a weekly Newage music program.

n I have also instructed Mass Communications Classes as needed.

n Responsible for staffing station 7/18/365 based on an 18-hour broadcast day.

n Produced a three-hour local newscast weekdays contained within NPR‘s Morning Edition® and daily classical music programming.

n Produced and digitally edited all locally produced materials for “On-air” use.

n Used SOSS to program Weekly / Daily programs and records.

n Fundraising.
