How to write Resume Interest and Hobbies Section

Interest and Hobbies Section

Interests and hobbies are something to talk about. It’s a window into your personality that is beyond the work stuff. This section can show that you are well-rounded if you include something physical, mental and social.

It demonstrates to the hiring manager that you would fit well with the current workforce or company culture—perhaps your love of tennis fits the company’s style of doing business over tennis or hosting of company tennis tournaments.

DON'T include an interests section listing hobbies and everything that personally interests you. This is usually unnecessary and irrelevant.
